Police investigating a number of burglaries in Coleraine

Detectives in Coleraine are appealing for information following a report of a number of burglaries at residential premises on Sunday 5th August.
 
Detective Constable Molloy said: “At around 7:05am, it was reported that a creeper style burglary occurred at the Greenmount Avenue area. A red Citroen C3 was stolen from the property and was later located at the M2 Motorway.
 
“Police were called to a property at the Cranmore Park area at around 9:30am following a report that a mountain bike had been stolen. The bike was later recovered at the Castleroe Road.
 
“Shortly before 4pm, police received a report of a creeper style burglary at residential premises at the Cranmore Park area sometime between midnight and 9am on Sunday 5th August.  A Vauxhall Corsa was taken, with entry gained at the rear of the property.
 
“At this stage, detectives are investigating a link between all three incidents.
 
“We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious persons or vehicles in the area at the time or who may have information about the incident to contact Detectives at Coleraine PSNI on 101 quoting 486 of 05/08/2018. Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
