Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault in a shop on Main Street in Bushmills on Thursday, 09 August.
It was reported that at around 1pm a male was disturbed in the upstairs non-public area of a shop in the area. When this man was challenged by the shop owners he assaulted the male owner causing him to fall. The man, aged in his 60s, sustained cuts to his face as a result. The male made off empty handed in the company of a female and a dog.
The male is described as being approximately 5’6” tall, with a clean shaven roundish face, well built, aged in his mid to late 40s. He was wearing a grey Jumper, long sleeve grey T-Shirt and a dark baseball cap with orange peak. The female is described as being approximately 5’8”, with dirty fair curly hair and was wearing a brown padded knee length coat which was tied in the middle. The dog was a Dalmatian type dog with a bandana and dog harness.
Constable James King said: “I am appealing for witnesses or anyone with information about this crime to get in touch with us by calling 101, quoting reference number 597 09/08/2018. Information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
