The Secretary of State, Karen Bradley, held her annual Garden Party today (Tuesday 4th september) at Hillsborough Castle.
This years VIP guest was HRH Princess Anne who was greeted by the large crowds and invited guests for a glimpse of the Royal. In previous years the VIP guests had been Prince William & Wife Kate, Duke & Duchess of Cambridge in 2016 and last year Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex.
Ballymoney also sent our own royalty of sorts in long serving Ballymoney Chamber President Ms Winifred Mellet accompanied by Chamber member Codie Murray. Speaking about being invited to attend this years Garden Party, Winfred said;
“I am delighted to have been asked to attend and most importantly represent Ballymoney at the Secretary of States Garden Party. Even at such a high priority and important event on the Secretary of States calendar, little old Ballymoney has yet again been given an opportunity to be front and centre.”
