The pedestrian involved in yesterday’s fatal RTC on the Quilly Road in Coleraine has died.
The Male , named locally as Johnny Scott, died after being hit by a car whilst walking home.
A rapid response vehicle and ambulance were tasked to the serious RTC and following assessment the injured Male was transported to nearby Causeway Hospital where he died of his injuries.
MLA for the area Claire Sugden has expressed her condolences;
“My sincere condolences to family and friends of the man killed on Quilly Road, Coleraine this evening. Another life taken too soon and unfairly on our roads.
PSNI have appealed for witnesses to come forward with any information by calling non-emergency number 101.
My heart breaks for those who have lost their loved one today. My thoughts are with you in the difficult days, weeks and months ahead.

The PSNI have also confirmed the death with a spokesperson saying;
“A man in his 30s has died following a collision on Quilly Road in Coleraine.
The man was a pedestrian who was struck by a car at around 6.45pm on Sunday 24 February.
The Quilly Road was closed for a time but has since reopened.
Police investigating the collision are appealing for witnesses. Please call 101, quoting reference 1165 24/02/19.”
