DUP Alderman John Finlay has said he is delighted by the positive outcome to his request for LED street lighting in Armour Avenue in Ballymoney.
Alderman Finlay said,
“At the start of this year, I asked the Department of Infrastructure to install LED lighting in Armour Avenue in Ballymoney in an effort to tackle the menace of anti-social behaviour in the area.bb
I was very pleased that the Department then agreed to install four LED street lights on an experimental basis, and that they have had the desired effect of reducing the problem. I am now delighted to learn that there are plans to install further LED lights in the area.
Residents have the right to live free from the scourge of anti-social behaviour on their doorsteps, and with more extensive LED lighting they can now look forward to the future with confidence.”
