A Ballymoney couple have been awarded an ‘Outstanding Volunteer Award’ at Caste Community centre this week, for their work on a community project led in partnership with the Northern Ireland Housing Executive.

Anthony and Lorraine McKay received their awards in the Northern Sector for their work with the ‘Listen Share Change Programme’.

As the programme’s Neighbourhood Champions, both Anthony and Lorraine McKay, led two groups in the Ballymoney area through the programme and become themselves advocates for shared reading and cross-community conversation.

The Listen Share Change programme is a partnership between Northern Ireland Housing Executive and Verbal and has been funded for four year via Peace IV, running until 2022.
