The Blair’s Holiday Parks Causeway Coast Truck Festival returns on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th August 2019 to celebrate their 5th Anniversary show!

Located at the legendary North West 200 Pit area on the outskirts of Portstewart, one of the Causeway Coasts biggest FREE ENTRY events is once again raising donations for the fantastic Air Ambulance Northern Ireland charity.

The Causeway Coast Truck Festival and Family Fun Weekend is looking bigger than ever before with the show extending to 2 days in 2019.  Gates open at 6pm – 10pm on Saturday 17th August for the Causeway Coasts first ever “Truck Light Show”, with a full entertainment line-up on the Anchor Complex Main Stage hosted by local entertainer Brian Moore.  The line-up includes local band ‘The Simple Truth’, and one of the country’s up and coming all girl bands ‘Dea Matrona’, who have recently earned praise from music legends ‘The Eagles’ for their music talents.

The event continues on Sunday 18th August from 10am – 4pm for the MAIN SHOW DAY which will see over 700+ of the country’s finest trucks compete for a host of prizes including Best Tractor unit, Best Vintage, Best Fleet and the now sought after Newbridge “Truck of The Show” trophy.

Sunday also sees the show’s entertainment and family fun raise the bar again in 2019 with the Main Stage being headlined by one of Irelands rising country stars Lee Matthews and his band alongside local band Brown Sugar and other rising stars. Remember it’s not all trucks – Downtown Radio and Downtown Country will be broadcasting LIVE over the weekend, and like everyone else they will be checking out the show’s Food and Trade village. Once again this year we have a little something for everyone, showcasing a wide variety of local food and crafts from right here on the Causeway Coast, while the 2019 KIDS ZONE will keep the little ones entertained throughout the day.

The festival will close at 4pm with the now famous Causeway Coast Truck Festival Convoy leaving the show for a tour of the legendary North West 200 Circuit taking in Portstewart, Coleraine and Portrush on the 9 mile parade around the North Coast.

A spokesperson from the Causeway Coast Truck Fest Committee said:

“Over the last 5 years we have worked tirelessly to make the Causeway Coast Truck Festival a successful and highly anticipated event right here on the beautiful Causeway Coast.  We have been working once again with some fantastic local businesses from the Coleraine, Portstewart and Portrush areas as well as working closely with Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council and the PSNI Events Team to make the event what it is today.

Never could we have foreseen 5 years ago that the event would go from a little idea on paper at our first meeting expecting “maybe 100 trucks” to now one of the most anticipated free family festivals not only the Causeway Coast’s tourism calendar but also what seems like the whole trucking community’s calendar, as many truckers we speak to have been planning it from the year before, including drivers now from England, Scotland and Wales who are also making the trip for the show in 2019.

This year we were also excited to be welcome the Causeway Coasts premier holiday destination ‘Blair’s Holiday Parks’ as the title sponsor of the 2019 Causeway Coast Truck Festival.

Having the team from Blair’s on board alongside our other fantastic show sponsors has allowed us to once again make the festival bigger and better than we had been able to in previous years, extending the event to 2 days with more trucks, more prizes, more entertainment – and even organise a couple of surprises on the day which we will be announcing very soon.  Keep an eye on our Facebook page on the lead up to the event on the 17th and 18th August 2019 for further information!”

Thanks to the 2019 show sponsors for their support
