A picture supposedly showing a £20 note has been shared over social media, but all is not as it seems!

The picture appears to be a genuine £20 note but look a little closer and you’ll find a slight misprint.

Instead of reading ‘Pound’ the fake note reads ‘Poond’, the word which can typically be heard on the streets and in the shops of Ballymoney by the some locals.

POOND, considered the Ulster Scots word for pound, has led to the picture being shared around on social media by locals.

It’s not sure if this picture was that of a fake note or a simple doctored picture, but it certainly give a few local folks a giggle or two.
