Armstrong Medicals £8m expansion

Coleraine firm Armstrong Medical is expanding it’s operations by investing £8m in the business.

Established in 1984 by John Armstrong, the firm manufactured and sold respiratory disposable products for Critical care applications.

Speaking about the company’s growth, Mr Armstrong said:

“Since then the company has grown considerably to become a worldwide supplier of high quality, innovative respiratory disposables for Neonatal, Perioperative and Critical care. We now supply products to over 60 countries worldwide from our 90,000 square foot office, warehouse and manufacturing facility in Northern Ireland.”

The investment will see the completion of a new 26,000sq ft warehous and new manufacturing equipment, alongside the creation of 24 new jobs. Support has also been offered by Invest NI to the tune of £800,00.

Speaking to BBC News NI, Mr Armstrong said that the investment would enable the company to double their output and meet customer demand. Its also expected that Armstrong Medical will be able to produce new products while scaling up operations on existing products.
