The family of Deirdre McShane have released the following details of her funeral.
Ms McShane tragically died after getting into difficulties while swimming with a group of others at Ballycastle beach early Monday morning.
Speaking on social media, one of Ms McShane’s children posted;
“Mammy’s remains will leave Robinson’s of Cloughmills at 11am tomorrow (Tuesday 11th December), making her way home to The Castle, 16 Harbour Road Ballintoy.
“Mammy will be leaving her home house on Friday at 11.15 am for mass at 12 noon in Ballintoy Chapel.”
The family have also asked that the house is private after 10pm each night.
Donations are in lieu of Air Ambulance NI with the family saying that Deirdre was a great admirer of Doctor John Hinds and they, as a family, would be very great-full for any donations.
