Former Portrush Railway and more recently nightclub building, has been granted permission to undergo redevelopment by Limavady property firm, PT Investments.

The Eglinton Street building had in recent years fell into a state of disrepair, but the approved plans will see the building revitalised into new retail space, which will also see a new entrance created under the familiar sight of the former stations historical clock.

Plans also detail An ATM and the replacement of the 19th century windows, which haven’t been seen on the building for over a decade.

When complete, the building will sit alongside the new £5m railway station and compliment the recent work as part of the Portrush Revitalise Scheme, completed ahead of The Open earlier this year.
