Oran Kearny told not to attend first day pre season training at St Mirren

It’s understood that Ballymoney man and current manager of St Mirren FC, Oran Kearny, has been told not to attends the first day of pre-season training today.

Kearny took over as manager of the Scottish club in September last year after leaving Coleraine. Since then he has been welcomed by St Mirren fans and players, but this revelation is sure to cast doubts as to his future at the club.

The circumstances are not fully known, but it could be to do with high tensions between Kearny and The clubs chairman Gordon Scott, and Orans wish to travel home to his family in Ballymoney each week.

Oran’s name had been one of the names mentioned for the managers position again at Coleraine after leading the club previously to the Irish Cup, which was initially denied by the Ballymoney man, but now that option could be back on the table if he exits the club.

With 2 years left in his contract, both sides will be looking for a settlement and some expect an announcement later today as to his future there.
