Tonight was the first AGM of the new council term for the newly elected Councillors. For some the first one ever, others a return to old ground.
With the outgoing Mayor Councillor Brenda Chivers handing her Mayors chain back after a year in office, it was up to the councillors to decide and elect a new Mayor and their Deputy for the next year.
At Tuesdays council AGM, Councillor Sean Bateson of Sinn Fein has been confirmed as the new Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council.
With the position of Deputy Mayor for the year ahead going to Councillor Sharon McKillop from the DUP.
