Air Ambulance Limited, a group that plans to bring an emergency medical helicopter to Northern Ireland, has applied to the Charity Commission for registration.
The group’s trustees met today with the Finance Minister Arlene Foster and discussed funding options for the service, which could operate from Enniskillen Airport, servicing all of Northern Ireland.
An air ambulance could cost £2.2 million a year and operate from an airport in Co Fermanagh, advocates said.
