A 24 year old man has been charged with two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and disorderly behaviour.
He is due to appear at Limavady Magistrates Court today (Wednesday 24th April). As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
The charges relate to an incident at the Main Street area of Portrush on Monday 22nd April involving an assault on a police officer.
