In order to protect the livelihoods that support our families and our communities, the Executive has announced a grant of £10,000 to be provided to all small businesses who are eligible for the Small Business Rate Relief Scheme and a grant of £25,000 to be provided to companies in the hospitality, tourism and retail sectors with a rateable value from £15,000 up to £51,000. Together these schemes will provide circa £370m of assistance to some of our most vulnerable businesses by helping their immediate cash flow pressures.
We understand the pressing need for this scheme and that demand is high. Officials in DfE are currently working with DoF colleagues in order to ensure that payments are made as quickly as possible.
