Party on the Pitch was official launched for 2017 on 30th May at Ballymoney Rugby Club after the success on the 2016 event.

Hosted by Ballymoney RFC, the Party on the Pitch event is once again supported by Ballymoney United Youth Academy and Ballymoney Hockey Club. In bringing all three clubs together the committee hope to reach all corners of the local community.

Not content with staging a similar event to last year the committee have decided to host the event over two nights.

COUNTRY NIGHT – On the Friday evening, 18th August, kicks off will be Ballymoney’s own  country superstar, Jordan Mogey, who has recently released his second album “Cowboys, Drifters & Angels”.

Following Jordan is Magherfelts own Ritchie Remo, with eight albums under his belt celebrating an amazing 22 years on stage

Headlining Friday night’s outdoor stage will be the fantastic Nathan Carter. Fresh from selling 11,000 tickets at the SSE arena.

BIG PARTY NIGHT – Saturday 19th August bring you all the biggest and best music from the likes of Freefall who open the evening.

Following on from that, the Iconettes, along with their band the Hitzvilles, covering a huge collection of Motown classics.

And then theirs the Fab Beatles – the country’s foremost tribute to arguably the best band ever to come out of these islands. The Fab Beatles have been going on the tribute music scene for over 20 years.

Glasgows soul band Counselled Out takes us into the evening setting up for the main event…The legends that are Showaddywaddy!

Showaddywaddy will bring the outdoor event to a close, with their own back catalogue of music, something for everyone, they won’t dissapoint and still featuring two of the original line-up in Romeo Challenger and Rod Deas.

Andy Borthwick, chair, Party on the Pitch, Ballymoney RFC said,

I think last year’s event surprised a lot of people with the professional setup and quality that was brought. This year we are incredibly excited to build on that – we’ve lined up an unbelievable weekend’s entertainment for the whole community, and we hope to welcome as many people as we can down to the club to see some brilliant music and have a great time!
